Our hand made mills were adapted from Greek coffee mills that were originally used by the Greek army for use in the field several hundred years ago. The grinding mechanism has been designed to actually grind the pepper rather than smash the pepper which is how mass marketed mills operate, thus maximizing the flavor and aroma. The Melina's line of gourmet foods was soon after added, offering delicious gourmet Greek Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Infused Olive Oil, Italian and Greek Balsamic Vinegar, Truffle Oils, spices, olives and other vinegars. These delicious products are very unique and can only be found in the finest stores.

Pepper Mill Imports Inc later added hand painted ceramics and brass and copperware ideal for the gourmet Kitchen.
